You may choose one or two internships. Do you provide housing? No. However, click on ACCOMMODATIONS for a list of places that do provide housing in NYC. Although we provide a list of places, we have no personal, firsthand knowledge of the accommodations. Do you provide a stipend? No. How many hours a week are required? Click on TIME COMMITMENT What are the specific hours I will need to be available? We do not know individual schedules until the Internship Program starts and we see which projects you get involved with. Interns should be available the following times: WEEKDAYS: in the range of 6pm - 10pm WEEKENDS: in the range of 10am - 11pm Do you accept high school students? Yes. But in addition to receiving 2 letters of recommendations, we require a letter of permission from your parents. What is the average age of the interns? Most interns are between the ages of 19 - 23. However, we usually have several high school students and some interns may be older than 23. |
What are the start and ending dates? Summer Sessions: Start Date is flexible, but the following is preferred: May 14 – Aug 20 End Date flexibility, prior to August 20, is on an individual basis. Internships can start before May 14 and continue passed August 20. Spring, Fall, and Winter Sessions: Varying schedules and time commitments. Is there a Fee or Tuition? We offer two types of internships: Standard - non-tuition (free) (Presently not offered because we are in the process of relocating) Enhanced - tuition (Presently offered since this internship is not done at one location.) For more information click on DRESS CODE Do you know of any school grants for the internship? Some colleges have travel and housing grants but do not advertise that to the students. Inquiries can be made at your school's intern department. Internship Primary Location: We are presently in the process of relocating. What Time Do I Come to the First Meeting: 95% of interns start on a Tuesday night. Start time is 6 pm at 13th Street Rep. Come to the lobby and ask where the meeting is; it is usually in the theatre. If an intern starts on a day other than a Tuesday, those times will be arranged individually. |
